Incident Details & Martyrdom Narrative

Martyr Md. Kausar Mia was born on April 5, 2002, in Kawalijan village, Narail Union, Mymensingh Division. His father is Md. Saidul Islam Faraji (60), and his mother is Mosammat Bilkis Begum. He was the youngest among the children of Saidul and Bilkis. With his sister married, his family consisted of his sick and elderly father and mother. He was a private car driver. His earnings supported the entire family.
He participated in the anti-discrimination student movement from the beginning. He was martyred on August 5th in the victory procession. His body was pierced by four bullets: one in the middle of his chest, one entering the left side of his chest and exiting, one in his abdomen, and one in his right hand.
Background of Martyrdom
Bangladesh achieved independence twice, once in 1947 and again in 1971. A long time has passed since then. During this long period, Bangladesh has enjoyed very little of the benefits of democracy. Instead, it has been repeatedly crushed by the millstone of autocracy, nepotism, and despised despotism. And the last truth was in the clutches of the most despicable autocrat. By snatching away the right to vote, freedom of speech, and personal freedom, the native ruling class, fostered by foreign masters, wanted to enslave the whole of Bangladesh.
Although the people of Bengal have not been very attentive to state affairs since time immemorial, they have never worn the chains of slavery around their necks. Rather, they have repeatedly stood up against irregularities and injustices with their chests held high. Many mighty humans and demons have been repeatedly defeated by these hungry and naked, independent-minded people. The ruling class, which had sold its head to foreign demons, wanted to enslave the people of Bengal once again. The anti-discrimination student movement stood up against it. Therefore, the people spontaneously participated in their programs. Like the general public of the country, Shaheed Abu Kausar also participated.
Due to the pressure of the people's movement, the murderous Hasina, a cohort of the Brahminical forces, fled to Delhi. The whole of Bangladesh once again tasted the flavor of independence. But even that day, the terrible and merciless attacks of the pet police force, known as accomplices of the fallen government, did not stop. They fired indiscriminately at the people's victory procession. Shaheed Kausar Mia participated in the victory procession at the intersection. When the killer force fired in this procession, he was shot and died on the spot.
Reactions of Friends and Relatives After the Martyr's Death
The elderly father and mother of Shaheed Md. Kausar could not accept his death. The general public of the area also could not accept it. Regarding his death, a local resident, Md. Abu Bakar Siddique, said, "Kausar used to stay cheerful throughout the area. He was loved by everyone. With his victorious death, his family's life came to a standstill. The hand that sustained the family became forever silent. The house construction work is incomplete, the father's treatment is uncertain, and the family seems to be drifting towards an unknown future. May Allah grant patience to his family and grant him the status of a martyr."
Special Information of the Martyr's Family
For the family of the elderly and sick father, Shaheed Abu Kausar was the jewel in their dark house. Three people lived on his earnings. Despite his low income, he wanted to improve his life. That is why he had started building a house. But all of that was ruined, snatched away by the killer's bullet. The only daughter is married and now lives in her husband's house. Who will take care of these elderly parents?
What Needs to be Done for the Martyr's Family
1. The martyr's parents need one-time financial assistance.
2. The construction of the martyr's unfinished house needs to be completed. Shaheed Md. Kausar had nothing. No house, wife, children, or a well-established family. He had a sick and elderly father and mother at home. Yet, nothing could hold him back. Bijoy Faraji He was not just a martyr; he is an image of a struggling life. A symbol of indomitable willpower.
