Incident Details & Martyrdom Narrative

Martyr Ahadun was born on December 1, 2007, in Shyampur, Netrokona. The martyr's father, Mujibur Rahman, owns a tea shop. His mother, Mosammat Kalpana Akter, is a homemaker. Ahadun was a tenth-grade student at Haji Sikandar Ali Technical School. This activist of the anti-discrimination student movement died after being injured by bullets fired from a helicopter by the forces loyal to the fascist Hasina government. This talented young man had a deep interest in electronics.
Context of Martyrdom
A nationwide mass movement started against the fallen autocrat, killer Hasina. Bangladesh had never witnessed such a mass movement before. The illegal occupying Hasina government planned to confine people to their homes to suppress the movement. They imposed a curfew. When the protesting people disregarded the curfew, the killer Hasina took an even more dangerous turn. She planned to kill people by shooting them with snipers from helicopters. On July 18, 2024, when indiscriminate firing started from helicopters in important areas of Dhaka, the capital, people of all classes, including infants, became victims. Ahadun's family lived in the Merul Badda area of Dhaka. Indiscriminate firing from helicopters also took place in this area. Ahadun lost his life due to bullets fired from a helicopter.
Business and Politics with the Body
The activities of the Awami hyena group did not diminish even a moment before their fall. Although they destroyed the country's economic condition through looting, their lust for looting did not decrease. What did they not do business with? Liquor, women, gambling, land, and finally, they even engaged in business with dead bodies. The martyr's father could not find Ahadun's body. He searched for his son's body in the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital all night. But after a night of disappointment, he returned home at 12 noon on July 19. Then, he started searching for the body at various police stations. He searched frantically from July 19 to July 21. Finally, he found the body on July 21. For this, a Chhatra League leader at the morgue demanded 20,000 taka to release the body, which was beyond the family's means. Finally, he collected the body for 18,000 taka.
The martyr's first funeral prayer was held on July 21 in the afternoon near Alif Tower in Merul Badda, the capital. Thousands of people came there to express their respect and love for the martyr. Later, on July 22 at 3 pm, his second funeral prayer was held in his village. Thousands more people participated there to honor his life and sacrifice.
