How He Responded to the Call of God
In July, due to the context of the anti-discrimination student and public movement, his factory was closed. Consequently, Sabbir Islam also became unemployed. His income stopped. In the meantime, the money he had saved was also exhausted due to the family's food needs. He was struggling to meet the family's food needs. He started borrowing and buying groceries on credit from various shops. At one point, the shopkeepers also refused to give credit. As a result, he was under considerable mental pressure.
On the other hand, his anger towards the ruling party was increasing as he witnessed the indiscriminate shooting and killing of students and the public by the autocrat's henchmen in the nationwide anti-discrimination student and public movement. When this anger gradually became unbearable, Sabbir Islam joined the student and public movement.
The day was Monday, August 5, 2024. The day of the autocrat's fall and the day of the student and public's ultimate victory. On this day, around 10 am, he was on the streets in the student and public movement. He was protesting in front of Ashulia police station. Suddenly, the murderous police opened fire on their protest movement. Sabbir was shot. The bullet entered through his right ear and exited through the back of his head. He died on the spot.
