Context of Martyrdom
Shaheed Md. Rubel was a kind-hearted, philanthropic person. He could clearly understand the difference between good and evil. The quota system was a grave injustice. Therefore, the voices of people all over Bengal were echoing, "Quota no, merit, merit, merit." The people of all over Bengal were outraged against this imprudent decision of the government. They would not allow this discriminatory policy of quota to be implemented. That is why people from their respective positions jumped in support of this movement. Martyr Md. Rubel was one of these protesting people. He joined the anti-discrimination student and public movement voluntarily. This religious person saw the anti-quota students' field as a battlefield.
In this field, he was running with water from one end to the other. In addition to serving the injured and dead, he was taking them to the hospital. After running around all day and serving others, he became tired and exhausted. The government's loyal henchmen poisoned the environment by firing sound grenades, rubber bullets, and numerous tear gas shells. In this toxic environment of smoke, the image of a tired and exhausted welfare-minded person, Shaheed Md. Rubel, lost consciousness. His colleagues rushed him from one hospital to another. But it was not possible to save him. This philanthropic person, who was extremely benevolent to people, answered the call of the Almighty and passed away.

Even at a young age, he earned everyone's love. He always stood by the poor and helped them. He had been helping an orphan woman with food for a year and a half.
