Martyr Md. Faruk was born on July 3, 1985, in Dengarnagar village, Jamalpur. His father was the late Haydar Ali, and his mother was the late Fatema. He was a regular employee at a poultry farm. On July 20, 2024, the anti-discrimination student and public movement intensified in Savar, Dhaka. Many students were injured. They took shelter in shops to save themselves. At that time, the murderous police fired indiscriminately. A bullet hit Martyr Faruk in the head, and he fell to the ground seriously injured. At this time, his employer was also injured. Around 1:30 PM, a phone call was made to his home informing them that Faruk was injured. When his employer was called, he said, "I am also injured, I don't know where Faruk is, he is probably in the hospital."
Later, after searching, it was learned at 6:00 PM that Faruk was lying on the veranda of Savar Enam Medical College Hospital. He had not yet been treated. Blood was flowing from Faruk's body. The doctor said, "He is alive but has no blood." Then his CT scan was done. After the CT scan, the doctor said, "He has many bullets in his head, it is not possible to operate. You pray to Allah." The next day at 8:30 PM, news came that Martyr Faruk had passed away. His funeral was held in his area on July 22 at 11:00 AM, and he was buried next to his house.

Martyr Faruk was a supporter of the anti-discrimination student and public movement. Although he did not participate directly in the movement, he had full support for it. On the day of the incident, July 20, clashes between the protesting students and the police had been going on since morning. Around 12:00 PM, students took shelter in his shop to escape police bullets. He gave them shelter. At this time, the police started firing towards his shop. Faruk and his employer were both injured by the bullets. The bullet hit Faruk's head severely. He passed away from this injury.

Special Information of the Martyr's Family
Martyr Faruk was the sole earning member of the family. He was an employee at a chicken shop in Savar. He earned 10,000 taka per month. After his death, the family members have become distraught. He has one son and one daughter who are studying, and his wife is a homemaker. Their days are passing with some assistance from relatives and charity organizations. They have become completely destitute. The elder son, Mahfuz (12), is a fifth-grade student, and the daughter, Tabassum (8), is a first-grade student.
