Bangladesh’s second independence was achieved at the cost of the lives of the common people. Fazal Mia was one of those individuals. He worked as a garment worker. Fazal was born into a poor family in the village of Tangaripara, Baksiganj, Jamalpur. Due to financial constraints, the responsibility of his family fell on him at a young age. Later, when he entered married life, he moved to the industrial city of Dhaka. Fazal’s wife, Rani Begum, had hopes that with her husband’s earnings, their family life would gradually improve. However, one day, the Awami hooligans seized control of the only earning member of the family, Fazal Mia. As a result, the five-member family is now struggling in extreme poverty.
