Incident Details & Martyrdom Narrative

Rajbari District, located in the central region of Bangladesh, is a district under the Dhaka Division. On September 12, 1978, in Alipur, Mukundia area of this district, Abdul Gani, known for his fiery spirit, was born to Abdul Majid and Jahanara Begum. Although he spent his childhood and adolescence in his home district, he later moved to Gulshan city in the capital for professional work. Before his martyrdom, he was working in the technical department of a residential hotel called Six Seasons. He lived with his family in a rented house in Gupipara area of North Badda. He had built a happy family with his wife Lucky Akter, son Alamin Sheikh, and daughter Jannat. This happiness could not be tolerated by the fascist government head, killer Hasina, and her cannibalistic cohorts.
The martyr's family is currently located in the Notun Bazar area of Khankhanapur Union, Rajbari Sadar Upazila.
Background of Martyrdom
For the past 17 years, bloodthirsty Hasina has killed people like birds to maintain her authority at home and abroad. This fiend and her henchmen did not spare even unborn children in the womb. With the cooperation of Awami-backed killer law enforcement agencies, the party's leaders and activists carried out the most heinous genocide in July-August 2024. However, at one point, the controversial Bangladesh Awami League, which was at the top of terrorist activities, faltered in the flood of public blood.
On the morning of July 19th, Abdul Gani left his house in Gupipara, North Badda, Dhaka, and started walking towards his workplace. On the way, he was killed by the police force, accomplices of killer Hasina, in the Banshtala area of Shahjadpur. Several shots were fired at his head. He lay on the road for a long time with gunshot wounds to the right side of his head. Due to continuous gunfire all around, it took several hours to rescue him from the scene. Finally, when the protesting students risked their lives and took him to the hospital, the doctor declared him dead. This sun of the motherland departed as a victim of the Awami genocide. May Allah grant the father of two children the status of martyrdom. (Amen)

"I am happy with the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government. I could not seek justice for my husband's murder before out of fear. Now I want justice for my husband's murder from the interim government.
