Shaheed Rohan's ancestral home is in Balia village of Chandpur Sadar Upazila. Rohan was the younger of 2 brothers. Rohan lived with his family in Kadamtali of the capital. Rohan's father, Sultan Ahmed, is a grocery shopkeeper, and his mother, Monira Begum, teaches Arabic. His elder brother, Rahat, is a 3rd-year honors student in Accounting at Sayedabad RK Chowdhury Degree College. Shaheed Rohan was born in Chandpur on March 2, 2006. However, he grew up in Dhaka. He passed his SSC from AK Higher Secondary School in 2022.
After passing his SSC, Rohan got admitted to the science department of Dania Government College. Shaheed Rohan Ahmed Khan was an HSC examinee in 2024. He was very calm in nature since childhood. He used to pray regularly in the mosque. His dream was to build a beautiful Bangladesh. That is why he chose Rover Scouts. He was one of the members of the Bangladesh Rover Scout Dania Rover team. Shaheed Rohan was an indomitable dreamer on the path to fulfilling his dreams. But in a cruel twist of fate, he became a victim of the killer Hasina's vengeance.
How he was martyred
Shaheed Rohan was very active from the beginning of the quota reform movement in twenty-four. He used to participate in the movement regularly. He used to help the protesters with drinking water. On July 19, 2024, Rohan left home to offer Friday prayers with his elder brother. The two brothers offered prayers at Baitus Salam Jame Mosque near the house. After the prayer, Rahat came home. Rohan stayed downstairs. Rohan took 300 taka from his mother that day. With this money, he went to the Shani Akhra area to provide water to the students participating in the rally after the Friday prayers by buying a case of water.
While providing water, when the police fired at the protesters, a bullet hit Rohan's chest. The surrounding students took him to the hospital. Someone from Mitford Hospital informed Rohan's phone about the shooting. The bullet hit Rohan's chest from below his neck. His elder brother Rahat and mother went to Mitford Hospital after receiving the news. There they saw Rohan's lifeless body lying inside the collapsible gate. The martyr's mother fainted there after seeing the lifeless, lifeless body. The hospital authorities delayed the handover of the body citing legal complications and post-mortem. The next day, July 20, the body was handed over to the family. After the funeral near Baitus Salam Mosque next to the house in the afternoon, he was buried in the family graveyard in his village home in Chandpur.
The martyr's parents have become almost insane with the pain of losing their child. He was an HSC student in the science department of Dania College. This brilliant student could not take the exam. Rover Rohan Ahmed Khan's dream of joining the army remained unfulfilled.
How is Rohan's family?
The martyr's father, Sultan Ahmed, is a grocery shopkeeper, and his mother, Monira Begum, teaches Arabic. His elder brother Rahat is a 3rd-year honors student in Accounting at Sayedabad RK Chowdhury Degree College. His father does not have much land in the village except for the homestead. The martyr's family has been living in a rented house in the Kadamtali area for almost thirty years. His parents had big dreams about him that he would one day become a very big officer and brighten the face of his parents. But that dream was not fulfilled.
Rohan in the words of a close relative
Regarding Rohan, his elder brother Rahat says- "My younger brother was a 2024 HSC examinee. After giving 6-7 exams, the exams were postponed in July 2024 due to the anti-discrimination student movement called by the students. My younger brother was active in the anti-discrimination student movement. He used to help the agitating students by providing water and dry food.

The martyr's mother says - My Rohan was such a beautiful, gentle and polite boy. He used to pray, study, and did not do any unnecessary gossiping. My son often told me - after passing HSC, he would become an army officer. Will serve the country. In the end, he served the country with his own life.
