Circumstances of Martyrdom
July 21, 2024. It was a Sunday. Abu Bakar left his office as usual. Seeing the anti-discrimination student movement's procession at the Feni rail gate area, he joined it. At this time, the police launched an unprovoked attack.
It is worth mentioning that the country's situation was not good at all at that time. Under the leadership of the anti-discrimination students, a massive movement was going on all over the country. Internet access had been shut down across the country by order of the government. There was no way to know what was happening where and how. Moreover, under the fascist government's orders, the police force was killing people like birds. Martyr Abu Bakar was one such "bird." Before he could understand anything, a police bullet suddenly hit him. Later, when the situation normalized, he was taken to the hospital. After struggling with death for five days in the hospital, he finally passed away. His body was later taken to his village home. Martyr Abu Bakar Siddique is resting in eternal peace at his home in Daganbhuiyan of Feni district. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.
