Md.Jafar Ahammad

Shaheed Jafar Ahammad was born in Fatehpur village, Shashdi Union, Feni Sadar. His father's name was Obaidul Haque, and his mother's name was Hajera Begum. Currently, neither of the martyr's parents are alive. Martyr Jafar's family consists of his wife and two children – a son and a daughter. He was a Tomtom (auto-rickshaw) driver by profession.
Shaheed's Economic Condition
Jafar Ahammad's family was never very well-off. The income from driving the Tomtom was the main source of income for this family. His only son also works in a garment factory. Despite having a strong desire, Jafar could not provide much education for his son, Rubel. Therefore, he had many dreams for his only daughter. His daughter, Sania, is currently studying in the 5th grade at Poura (Municipality) Balika High School. But due to poverty, her education is now on the verge of stopping. When the shadow of a father disappears from above, it is understood how diverse and difficult life can be. Jafar's wife, Asiya Begum, is currently living a miserable life with her two children. She is physically and mentally broken down.

Circumstances of Martyrdom
August 5, 2024. The people of Bangladesh got a second chance to be independent. For almost 16 years, the fascist government had been exploiting the country, running a steamroller of oppression over the people. On this day, the previous head of government, frightened and terrified by the student-public 'Road March to Ganobhaban (Prime Minister’s residence),' hastily resigned and left the country. While everyone was busy with the victory procession, even then, in some parts of the country, the henchmen of the oppressive government, refusing to accept defeat, continued to attack.
Jafar was attacked by Awami miscreants in front of the Feni Municipality on that day and was brutally martyred. Martyr Jafar is resting in eternal peace in his own home in Feni Sadar. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.
