In Uttara, Savar, and Jatrabari in Dhaka, the killer forces of the fallen government killed countless people. The anti-discrimination movement was just an occasion for a mass explosion against the Sheikh Hasina government.
The public was outraged by the long fifteen-sixteen years of misrule. The voice of the people had been silenced by disappearances, murders, and torture. They were forced to remain silent. The fire of uprising was suppressed by cases, attacks, and harassment. Yet it did not remain suppressed. Throughout the fifteen years, the general public has been seething with anger at various times in the movement. The government suppressed the non-violent movement on the streets by unleashing the police and party terrorists. Before the success of the Safe Road Movement and the Quota Movement, the protesters were forced to return home. They returned, but they did not stop.
In July '24, there was a volcanic eruption. As a result of this explosion, the students took to the streets. Along with them, their guardians. All professionals joined hands and took to the streets. The students' anti-quota movement turned from an anti-discrimination movement into anti-government movement. The government uses violence. The protesters remain vocal in the movement with empty hands.
Curfew is imposed in the country. All educational institutions and all government and private offices and factories are closed down. A state of emergency is in place in the country. The students' campuses are closed. Many of them went to their respective homes.
