Md. Ripon’s home is in Pan Para village of Lamchar Union No. 6, Ramganj Upazila, Lakshmipur District. He is the child of day laborer Farooq Hossain Idris and Sufia Begum of that village. He was born in his own village. He was 36 years old. He was married. He currently has 2 children. He has 1 son who is mentally handicapped. He lives with his parents in his village home. His wife Shamima Akhter Ruma works as a garment worker in a garment factory in Chittagong for a limited salary. With Ripon’s death, the family is currently living a miserable life.
Incident Description
On August 5, 2024, he was protesting at the Notun Chourasta intersection in Banshal police station, Dhaka, agreeing with the demands of the anti-discrimination students' 1-point movement. After the fall of the Hasina government, he participated in the victory procession. Before leaving the country, the killer Hasina ordered her own forces to commit genocide. For this, numerous people were killed in the public's victory procession throughout the day by bullets from the police, RAB and BGB. Ripon was injured by police bullets at 10 pm while he was on the streets.
Martyr Ripon's family demanded justice for the murder
Regarding the martyr, his neighbor Humayun Kabir said that he was a patriot and was always against injustice. He always offered five daily prayers. Besides, neighbor Noor Uddin said that he used to walk according to the Quran and Sunnah. We demand justice for his murder.
Proposal
1. It would be helpful if a business establishment could be set up for the martyr's father.
2. To arrange a good job for the martyr's wife.
3. To bear the cost of the children's education.
