Incident Details & Martyrdom Narrative
One of the valiant fighters of the historic July 24 movement is Shaheed Fayez, 33. The then-autocrat's throne was overthrown by his flaming yell. On September 7, 1991, the story's main character was born. The youthful Fayez demonstrated that one must prioritize one's own country above all others. The homeland must be forced to taste the nectar of freedom from the oppressors' rule, even at the cost of one's life. Since the autocratic ruler came to power in 2008, this beautiful and prosperous independent country has been gradually sold to the neighboring killer state of India. Using his muscle power, the murderous Hasina and her accomplices created a very volatile geo-political situation and indulged in wild laughter.
The Life and Martyrdom of Shaheed Fayez
Birth and Identity
The martyr's father, Mr. Ala Uddin Bepari, is a mason by profession. Although he is sixty-two years old, old age has not yet overtaken him. On the other hand, the martyr's mother, Bir Mata Chhura Begum (50), is a full-fledged housewife. She single-handedly performs all the responsibilities of the household. The martyr's family has been poor from the very beginning. For this reason, poverty is a constant companion in the family. Due to hardship, despite being talented, the motherland's unique martyr Fayez could not receive education.
When Profession Becomes Responsibility
Due to lack of resources, responsibility falls on Shaheed Fayez's shoulders in his childhood. Saying goodbye to the place of learning creates a mountain of disappointment and resentment in his heart. Yet the martyr does not know how to stop. At a young age, to support the family, he acquires the skills of electrical connection and disconnection. Gradually, brightness is seen in the family. From the money earned by the martyr, the marriage of his only sister Tahmina (28) is completed, and Fayez also plays a special role in the professional work of his brother Zobayer (24) as a tailor.
To eradicate his loneliness, the lively Fayez (33) gets married to the beautiful Nurunnahar Begum (35). Soon after the marriage, a naughty boy is born to them. With great affection, he is named Rafi (2). The couple feels the warmth of their child in a fascinating way. A festive atmosphere prevails throughout the family. The martyr's son grows up quickly with the utmost love of his parents. Shaheed Fayez starts weaving thousands of dreams for his son. He says to his beloved wife - "Due to financial constraints, I could not study. I don't want the same to happen to my child. I want to build Rafi as a real human being. In no way should the hardship of the family be able to cover him."
The above words prove how rich the martyr's foresight and wisdom were! Despite all this, the responsible father gave priority to the country instead of giving priority to the child. The man who had been single-handedly maintaining the family for so long. Who removed poverty from the family with his chest. That realistic, steadfast great man, without caring for his own life, selflessly gave his life for the country.
How He Became a Martyr
Shaheed Fayez participated in the student-public procession on July 21, 2024, with the aim of overthrowing the autocratic government. The procession started in the Signboard area of the capital and headed towards Jatrabari. While traveling a short distance, the killer army, police, BGB, Ansar, RAB, the accomplices of the autocratic Awami League, and their henchmen suddenly opened fire on the procession. The bloodthirsty, man-eating force called RAB, supported by the murderous Hasina, misused power to the extreme. They continuously fired from helicopters at the procession from above. Suddenly, several bullets hit Fayez's head and neck. His numb, lifeless body and blurry eyes slowly fell to the ground.
His lifeless body, accumulating the dreams of his beloved child, fell victim to the killer government. In his fading vision, he imagines the loving face of his beloved child for the last time. He instinctively reaches out to touch his wife and child in a final attempt. At that very moment, another bullet from the killer hits his body with a loud sound. As a result, the beloved son of the motherland, Shaheed Bir Fayez, embraces death on the spot. Passersby are speechless to see this sacrifice before their eyes. The martyr's sacrifice creates a new history for the Bengalis. As if the blood of the martyr touches and swears the common people! The killer Hasina is gripped with fear. The people of the whole country erupt in a fierce movement. At one point, frightened and flustered, the fascist killer Hasina flees the country under the wrath of the students and the public. The heroic people of this country turn her abandoned throne into dust under their feet.
