Incident Details & Martyrdom Narrative

The anti-discrimination movement is ongoing across the country. From anti-quota to anti-discrimination. 8 demands, 9 demands, finally it comes down to one demand. The one demand is, Hasina's resignation. The movement was non-violent. Students started the movement empty-handed. They were unarmed. To suppress the unarmed protestors, the government unleashed all the terrorists of the Awami League. Police, BGB, RAB, and the army were deployed on the streets.
The government is desperate to hold on to power. It has declared an undeclared war in the country. It is using heavy weapons of the army to kill its own people. Citizens are being killed by gunfire from helicopters. The party's terrorists are obstructing the treatment of the injured and dead. Families are also facing obstacles in burying the dead. The anti-quota movement has become the anti-discrimination movement. The anti-discrimination movement has been a non-violent movement from the very beginning. The unarmed students and public were chanting slogans on the streets. The government made this movement bloody. The streets were stained with the fresh blood of innocent students. Hundreds of students were killed in cold blood. People took to the streets. They poured their accumulated anger into the rallies.
Farmers, laborers, teachers, businessmen, poets, journalists, and people of all classes and professions joined the rallies. On August 4th, the country became a city of death. Boys, old men, women, and men are now united. Dhaka is surrounded. The government was on high alert. The government's power was nowhere to be found. No one could have imagined that the government would flee shortly. The government's fostered forces failed to understand the politics or the pulse of the people. They remained obedient to the killer and autocrat.
On August 4th, Faruk joined the movement. He took position at Mirpur 10. At approximately 2:30 PM, police gunfire pierced his chest. He fell down. He lost his life to the oppressor's poisonous bullet. His body turned blue from the bullet's impact. The body was taken to his village home. He was buried in the graveyard of his village.
Family Condition
Financially insolvent. There are only 8 decimals of land in the village home. There are no other lands or savings. There is debt. There is no house to live in. He lived his working life in Dhaka. His wife is also a garment worker. They have three daughters. They lived a life of constant struggle. When a man who can earn a living in a poor family dies, their sorrow knows no bounds. The martyr's wife and her daughters are going through extreme financial hardship. The girls used to study in a madrasa. Where it is difficult to survive, education is a daydream. The martyr's wife is now totally disoriented and helpless lost. She is bewildered by thoughts of food, rent, and the girls' education.
